Marc Dalais is the Chief Executive Office and a founding shareholder of Celero LTD launched in February 2009. Marc brings a broad experience to the company having worked in logistics for over twenty years in Europe and Africa. A native Mauritian, Marc worked in South Africa for Ned Lloyds shipping in Durban after having completed his university studies there. He subsequently joined Delmas Shipping in Paris a sub division of the Bollore group, before joining Ireland Blyth LTD (IBL), one of the big conglomerates in Mauritius in 1990.
Marc grew IBL’s Logistics, shipping and Aviation division into some 15 autonomous operations throughout the Indian Ocean islands. In this capacity he started and oversaw companies operating in practically every link of the supply chain in the air ,sea and ground sectors ; clearing and forwarding ,courier express, warehousing and distribution, airline cargo and passenger agency representations, travel agency services ,airport ground handling and shipping agencies .
Marc has also been active in various trade associations and boards, including the boards of a company pioneering freeport operations in Mauritius and the Mauritius Exporters Associations. He is also a founding trustee of a charitable trust for the advancement of education.
Patrice Maury was previously in charge of the courier and freight forwarding activities of one of the most important conglomerate in Mauritius for the past eleven years until end of year 2008. Patrice had set up for the the same conglomerate the franchise of a top worldwide express courier operator in Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros island. He has been constantly looking for strategic partnerships for its target markets where it can generate new business to complement its core activities.
During his management, the freight company had grown from 5 staff to 40 staff and generating interesting profit after one year of operation. Previously to the conglomerate, Patrice had been working for over 10 years in another group in charge of a worldwide express courier company operating in Mauritius .
In February 2009, Patrice co-launched Celero Ltd and is the Managing Director of the 4 divisions namely Logistics, Express, Shipping and Removals. Patrice is a founding shareholder of Celero which employs more than 70 experienced staff.
Patrice is also a member of the local logistics associations, namely the Freight Forwarders Association and the Mauritius Exporters Association (MEXA) and is always active in the regular workshops and meetings organized.
He holds a Diploma in Management from the University of Surrey.
Juanito Arouff, Express Manager
Juanito is in charge of the express operations of our group. He joined the group in 2009 and has been previously working for major independent express courier networks established in Mauritius since 2003. During his term at one of the major conglomerates, he has had the change to develop the regional operations and also actively participated in sales activities, together with the support of the management in designing new transport solutions, may it be by air or land transport. Juanito has extensive knowledge of networks handling and is very much active in the business development of our express courier division as the Express Manager.
Ramkumarsing (Kris) Emrith, Finance Manager
Kris joined the Celero group in March 2016 as Finance Manager. Kris has acquired his professional education and training in London before returning to Mauritius to start his career in Auditing and business consultancy with Lamusse Sek Sum & co and subsequently with KPMG. He moved into Industry at senior management level in Dookun group of companies, listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, involved in the manufacture and distribution in the FMCG sector. He later moved into the health sector and was at senior management level at Fortis Clinique Darne before joining Celero Group.
Kris is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, England). He is also registered with the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) as a Professional Accountant and Public Accountant in Practice.
Kris brings with him over 20 years of senior management level experience as Head of Finance with exposure to IT at operational and governance level and procurement.
Neerish Chooramun, Manager – Marketing & Ocean Operations
Neerish is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the American Marketing Association. He also holds a MBA – Marketing Management, a BSc (Hons.) Entrepreneurial Management as well as an Associate Degree in E-Technology Computing. He has over 10 years commercial and management experience in Marketing, Sales, Information Systems, Logistics & Operations and also manages our Information Systems and General Administration Business Processes. Neerish joined the group since its inception in 2009.
Michel Couronne, Customer Service Manager
Michel Couronne leads the Customer Service and Removals section. He is in the freight industry since the early 90’s. Michel started his carrier as airfreight export officer, was then promoted as Sales Co-Ordinator for more than 10 years. He later moved to another company whereby have been responsible for business development and building up network. He worked there for another ten years before moving to Celero as Customer Service Manager. Michel holds a Diploma in Sales and Marketing and a Certificate in Customer Service. He has good negotiation skills and well versed with import and export procedure for both air and sea.
Nizam Goolamhossen, Manager – Air & Shipping Operations
Nizam Goolamhossen heads the Air Operations and the Shipping divisions. He is in the freight and express courier industries for more than 15 years. Nizam has started his carrier as Airport Coordinator at UPS in 1997, and then promoted as Air Operations Executive for more than 10 years. He later shouldered additional responsibilities in the freight industry, while maintaining the express courier ones, for another five years before leaving to participate in the setting up of Celero in 2009 as Air Operations Manager. Since September 2012 Nizam has also taken over the Shipping Division as the Shipping Agency Manager for Mauritius and Madagascar. Nizam has all capabilities required to work together with the management in business development.
Ricardo Mootooveeren, Brokerage Manager
Ricardo Mootooveeren has joined Celero since its start in February 2009. He has more than 24 years’ experience in the customs clearances and logistics services and holds a License as Customs House Broker since 1997 as well as Diploma in Business and Marketing Management and an Advance Certificate in Management from the University of Surrey. In 1997, he participated in the Custom House Broker Examination which was organised by the Ministry of Finance and the University of Mauritius. He was previously Brokerage and Operation Executive in a prestigious group in 2004 and is now at Celero as Brokerage Manager.
Jude Piram, Business Development Executive
Jude Piram has near to 10 years of rich experience in the logistics field. He started his career back in 2004 as Customs Clerk, and has demonstrated his capabilities in the operational side of the logistic activity, improving himself ever since. He was promoted Operations Supervisor at Celero in 2010. Demonstrative and spontaneous, he kept developing his communication skills and as such was awarded key accounts during his tenure in this important position. Since 2013, he has been appointed as Business Development Executive and seeks to be up to the challenge.
Andy Ramdoo, Head of Credit Control
Andy has over 24 years of rich experience in the Credit Control and Treasury management. He took employment in 1990 in one of the top freight forwarders & express courier company in Mauritius and has been working for nearly 20 years in the field before joining Celero in May 2010. He has been appointed as the Head of Credit Control. Andy is a hard worker and excellent team leader and knows how to motivate the team for the smooth running of the debt collection. His tenacity, determination and assertiveness greatly contributed to his success in the field of credit control. He has also a good knowledge of total quality management and was mandated on several occasions to lead courses in previous employments.
Jerome Sohun, Business Development Manager
Jerome has a 10 years’ rich experience in the in air freight operations and sales and holds a Diploma in IATA Air Cargo Introductory, Rating and Dangerous Goods. His career started as accounts clerk in 1997 and he then moved as stock controller in a dye house in the manufacturing industry for 7 years. In 2004, he joined the air freight operations in one of the largest conglomerates in Mauritius and move up the ladder to the position of Air Operations Executive in 2006 with focus on chartered flights to Italy and Europe. In February 2009, he joined the foundation team of Celero as Sales Executive for Logistics and was promoted Business Development Manager in 2012. Among his major responsibilities today remains the air freight sales and logistics business development of Celero Madagascar.
