Unni Einemo, IBIA Director & IMO Representative

Unni Einemo was named as one of the “Ten women Influential in shipping” by Llyod’s in 2019, and is currently the Director of IBIA and IMO Representative. She was previously the Managing Director of Bunkerworld and Sustainable Shipping news specialist at Petromedia.

Paul Maclons, IBIA Africa Chairman, IBIA Board Member & CEO
AMSOL

Paul Maclons is the CEO and regional specialist marine solutions at AMSOL. Paul has 17 years of experience in the maritime industry and is also the chairman of IBIA Africa as well as on the IBIA board of directors. AMSOL is the largest specialist marine services company in the region.

Robin Meech, Past IBIA Chairman & MD Marine and Energy Consulting

Robin Meech is the MD of Marine and Energy Consulting, a consultancy practice, focused on transport and energy in the bunker sector. Robin comes with years of experience in Impact Assessment, having assisted the Canadian Government to introduce Emission Control Area. Robin is also past Chairman of IBIA.

Captain Dave Main, Marine Consultant, AMSOL

Captain Dave Main has over 40 years experience in marine emergency response and salvage. He is currently a marine consultant with AMSOL. Dave is well respected in both government and private industry, ensuring efficient teamwork and constructive outcomes during marine emergencies.

Goro Yamashita, MD MOL(Mauritius) Ltd

Goro Yamashita joined MOL in 1993 and started his career in Tanker, Car Carrier and Port Terminal & Logistics. He has worked in Kobe, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Brussels, Hamburg, London and São Paulo as Global Expat. He is in Mauritius since September 2020 to develop MOL Group’s activities in this region.

Sanjeev Ghurburrun, Chairman MPA

Sanjeev Ghurburrun is the Chairperson of the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) and a Senior Advisor to the Hon. Prime Minister of Mauritius. He is a director of Geroudis Law Firm and a seasoned corporate lawyer by profession with more than 25 years call.

Ken Poonoosamy, CEO EDB

Mr. Ken Poonoosamy is the CEO of the Economic Development Board, the government agency tasked with providing institutional support for strategic economic planning and promoting Mauritius as an attractive investment & business centre, with a competitive export platform and an international financial centre.
