Human Resources Officer

Post: Human Resources Officer

Business Unit: Corporate

Contract Type: Full Type Permanent with six (6) months’ probation

Reports to: Manager – Corporate Services

Job Purpose: To provide general day-to-day HR support across the group in compliance with statutory obligations and best practices not limited to leave and attendance management, employee benefits, training and development and other administration duties.

Country: Mauritius

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assisting the Manager - Corporate Services with generalist HR matters, including reviewing and developing relevant policies and procedures and advice in relation to employee performance, conduct and absence management.
  • Administration, co-ordination and support of the group's recruitment.
  • Coordinating and administering training and development programmes and liaising with external training bodies as required.
  • Providing confidential ad hoc advice and assistance to employees within the group.
  • Assisting with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary

Key Performance Indicators:

  • HR Record management
  • Time to Fill
  • HR Planning & Analysis

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or any related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in Human Resources.
  • Extensive knowledge in Labour Law

Other Requisites & Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, administration and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to situations.
  • Ability to keep information confidential and work under pressure.
  • Build effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of Sicorax HR will be an advantage.

Operations Officer

Post: Operations Officer

Business Unit: Express

Contract Type: Full Type Permanent with six (6) months’ probation

Reports to: Head of Operations

Job Purpose: Supporting Express and domestic operations to achieve its objectives in line with quality standards and policies.

Country: Mauritius

Key Accountabilities:

  • Completion and submission of import manifests into MACCS
  • Issue Notice of Arrival and inform customers accordingly about their inbound shipments
  • Daily scanning and update of customs hold / released shipments
  • Retrieval of customs cleared shipments from the Customs Bonded Warehouse
  • Issue Gate Pass for daily customs cleared shipments
  • Assess the delivery requirements and arrange as per the stipulated timeline
  • Guide and provide solutions to customer for alternative delivery solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team to locate shipments and assist other operations
  • Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Minimising customs clearance lead time (proper documentation / inform customer accordingly)
  • Follow up of collection of customer’s payment for the respective charges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • H.S.C with minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position.
  • High proficiency in both English and French
  • Intermediate level usage of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Able to manage own workload, set and meet deadlines and operate independently with minimum levels of supervision

Job Purpose: Handling Delivery and Pickup consignments in a safe, efficient manner to achieve customer satisfaction.

Country: Mauritius

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and team leaders
  • Focus to maintain company branding and visibility in front of customers
  • Coordinating with customers for scheduling pickup and deliveries
  • Adhering to set route and timeline for deliveries / pickup
  • Reaching out to customers for updating for delivery / pickup in case of delays
  • Provide the customer of the weight of pickup for accurate billing.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve its objectives
  • Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Ensure having zero loss of shipments
  • Adherence to safety driving regulations
  • Collection of customer’s payment for the respective charges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • H.S.C with minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position.
  • Fluent in both English and French
  • Clean driving record
  • Motorcycle (125 cc) riding ability will be a major advantage
  • Certificate of Character (less than 1 year validity)

Other Requisites & Skills:

  • Use of handheld input devices for scanning.
  • Ensure company vehicle is maintained as per company norms.

Job Purpose: The Receptionist is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in an effective and efficient manner.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
  • Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers and deliver packages at counter.
  • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
